Paperclip - Your Virtual Freshers' Fair

University life as we know it has changed massively, lectures are being done over zoom, people have had to move out of accommodations early and universities are seeing more deferrals than ever. Due to the coronavirus, new students may not get that campus experience this year, one of my earliest memories at Brunel was going to my first Freshers’ Fair, joining new societies and getting all the free things I could carry!

Freebies aside, the fair was one of my favourite events. I didn’t get to experience all of freshers' week but the fair really made starting uni special, just feeling the excitement of a new start, being able to meet new people and becoming part of another community. For all the students starting university in September, you don’t have to miss out, even if things become completely digital.

In the likely event that universities won’t be putting on any freshers fair this year, Paperclip is creating Digital Welcome Packs for new students which include deals from UberEATS, Amazon, Ola and there are 27 more brands to be announced in August, get ready to save those coins! This would have been amazing to have when I was starting uni, especially with trying to save a bit of change with textbooks, student finance didn’t exactly stretch that far!

Paperclip makes online marketplaces for universities across the UK, where students can sell and buy things like textbooks, clothes, gig tickets and much more without any additional fees.

So check out Paperclip here, join the waiting list to win prizes and get yourself a membership!
